Home Chef meals are always creative, nicely spiced and just the right amount. The variety is great and most always delicious. We had a great time trying different seasonings I might ordinarily pass up. Great service, recommend giving Home Chef a try!

I like the meals a lot. Not only are they flavorful, but many of them I can convert to grilling, during the summer months. Unfortunately, I have had several ingredient substitutions due to limited goods secondary to COVID. I have also had a few meals get canceled because they ran out of supplies. I did get a refund, plus a coupon for a descent discount on a future order.

I was missing ingredients for two of the meals.

I have tried a few other meal plans with different companies. Love Home Chef. Food is really good,even for my picky family. Food always comes packaged great, nothing missing, and can pick if want easy or feel like really trying the culinary expert (which still isn't that hard with instructions)

Honestly, the food isn't bad.

What I have a major problem with is that I waited for DAYS after the scheduled delivery date to receive my box. This happened on multiple occasions. Needless to say, I was expecting a timely delivery and when my meals never showed, I was stuck without anything to cook for dinner.

On top of that, when my last box eventually DID show up, everything inside it was warm, including the ice packs. I opened the box as soon as it was delivered, so it's not like it was sitting for a long period of time. I had to throw the entire thing out!

I would NOT recommend Home Chef... unless you enjoy late deliveries and room temperature, raw chicken.

I think Home Chef is a terrific meal service option. Personally I enjoy the convenience of home delivery. I enjoy the meal prep. The options of what you can get is very good. Should satisfy the taste of most people. The instructions for cooking and meal prep are very easy to understand and simply layed out even for the novice.

I love Home Chef - however sometimes my shipment doesn't come on time and throws my schedule/week off.

Good comunication, deliveries arrived nice and cold (extra bonus for extra ice bags around the meat), great choice of meals, easy to follow recipes.

I tried 2 of the Home Chef Heat and Eat meals, both had the same weird taste. The first meal was the beef stroganoff with egg noodles which had a really bad after taste. The second meal was the homestyle meatloaf and red skin mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was delicious but the potatoes had the same funky after taste as the beef stroganoff. Not sure how fresh these meals are or what is making them taste so funny. I won't be purchasing them again.

Room for improvement. I didn’t give 5 Stars because I’ve had issues with late delivery.

We have been preparing home chef meals for over a year. For the two of us its about portion control. The food is delicious and the meals vary in time preparation.
